HOW TO BECOME A MASTER PROSPECTOR: THE QUESTIONS

When I was in Orlando Florida, attending My Lead System Pro Live the Dream II event, I listened to Ms. Tracey Walker, gave a role play on PROSPECTING and CLOSING. It became clear in my mind that PROSPECTING and CLOSING are THE TWO most important skills that any Network Marketer should absolutely master. If you don’t, or if you do it wrong, you simply fail and therefore you DO NOT HAVE A BUSINESS. This post is about HOW TO BECOME A MASTER PROSPECTOR: THE QUESTIONS and it is the first of four on this subject. After reading my four articles, you should recruit like a PRO and in addition, you should have fun doing it! Let me begin by asking few questions:

WHY ARE YOU PROSPECTING?

It should be very clear in your mind. Remember the Rule #6 of one of my previous posts called “12 Simple Rules”, where I said that you
should set up your Goals first. Once you do that, you know what to achieve. You are convinced that your product is the best in the world. On that basis, you want to generate as many leads as possible, and expose them to your opportunity because Network Marketing is a number's game. You want to become a Master Prospector. The more people you recruit, the more successful you are.

WHO ARE YOU PROSPECTING?

EVERYONE IS A PROSPECT! It will work with any person with whom you decide that you have a fair amount of time to share information.  It does not matter to whom you speak. If you decide that you can share some information, you can talk to literally everyone. But there is an essential caveat: what you will tell that person and the way you will say it IS CRITICAL. Good news is that there is a FORMULA to do it! That formula follows a simple FOUR STEPS process which can be summarized in the acronym “FORM”. If you use the “FORM” process, you will be successful at prospecting.

WHEN DO YOU PROSPECT?

OFFLINE

Some people prefer to prospect at the Mall, at the Library, at the Post Office, at the Restaurant…It depends completely on you, but the most important is that it should be when you feel most relax and when you are in the best conditions to share information with people. You have to be able to recognize when people are interested or not if you want to become a Master Prospector.

ONLINE

Prospecting Online offers many advantages. You can prospect during the day, but you can also prospect when you sleep. There are millions of
different market places and circumstances when you can prospect online. But you still have to understand the basics of prospecting if you want to become a Master Prospector, otherwise the results could be opposite to what you expect, because of the speed of online business. However, if you apply these basic principles, ATTRACTION MARKETING will start working, your phone will start ringing and you will be prospecting 24/7!

WHERE TO PROSPECT OFFLINE?

Talk to people you meet like sales representatives, managers, waiters. Prospect when you are at the court house, at the bank talking to the bank teller, at a book signing or at school with your kids. Keep your ears and eyes opened to find opportunities to solve somebody's problem. However, if you are doing Network Marketing part time, PROSPECT WHEN YOU ARE OUT OF THE OFFICE but DO NOT PROSPECT AT WORK. This would only result into a disaster.

WHERE TO PROSPECT ONLINE?

The beauty of it is that THERE IS NO LIMIT. You can prospect where your heart desires. However, some markets are highly recommended:

Market #1 = Facebook

Facebook is the #1 and largest Social Media Network on the planet. You must absolutely be on Facebook if you want to do Network Marketing
online. Make sure that your profile is set up properly and that your posts and content are correct. If you are there already but if it is not working for you, it means that you are doing something wrong with it! Find out what is wrong and correct it, but there is no reason why Facebook should not work for you and why you could not become a Master Prospector on Facebook. By the way, please visit and “like” my Facebook Page before you finish reading this article.Market #2 = YouTube

YouTube is the second most visited Social Media website. It can generate lots of traffic. Tracey Walker explained that she pretty much built her business on Video and Article Marketing. She went out with her camera and recorded video every single day. Think of what you can offer to people that could solve their problems and become a Master Prospector on YouTube.Market #3 = Twitter

Twitter is also one of the largest Social Media Network. It can generate a huge amount of traffic and you can set it up on autopilot. This is what I do with “Tweet Adder”, software I use and highly recommend if you want to become a Master Prospector on Twitter.Market #4 = Craigslist

Craigslist is a market place where there are some loopholes that you should explore and which can generate some 200 leads a month for FREE and it is worth exploring it if you have not done it yet and if you want to become a Master Prospector on Craigslist.

In conclusion, PROSPECTING is not difficult, it is fun and it will allow you to enhance your marketing skills. It really depends on you and on how much are you willing to do to reach your goals. However, you must follow the Formula to do it right. If you apply the “FORM” principles described in my next article, you will undoubtedly become a Master Prospector!

    Awesome post, Axel. Prospecting is an art and once you figure it out, it becomes a lot of fun. My suggestion usually is to find one strategy and master and do it for at least 90 days until you see the desired results then you can move on to something else.
