It is true that I was taught to use these same techniques when I initially joined my first network marketing company. I was explained that I should write a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them one by one to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money.
Unfortunately I went through really embarrassing situations where I was only bombarded with questions that I wasn't able to answer, getting hung up on, and faced with nothing but rejection. When I was officially bounced by everyone that I knew, the only correcting action my up line told me to take was to go out and buy some opportunity leads. This advice only led me to some more rejection and more money spent.
